MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in hiring Erik ten Hag or Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
When it comes to their future manager, Manchester United is debating who to contact. Despite stabilizing the ship since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal, Ralf Rangnick isn't in the running for the post permanently. Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino, on the other hand, are the current frontrunners.
Manchester United is getting ready to usher in a new era at Old Trafford.
They felt that by giving Solskjaer a new contract in the summer, he would be able to restore the club's golden days.
At the very least, Ed Woodward did. "Ole and his staff have worked relentlessly to lay the foundations for long-term success on the pitch," he remarked at the time.
"The consequences of that have become increasingly obvious over the last two seasons, and we are all excited to watch this great team flourish in the years ahead."
"What's particularly pleasing is how this growth has been made with a mix of young, homegrown talent and top-tier recruits, all while playing attacking football in the best Manchester United traditions."

"We are more certain than ever that we are on the right track under Ole's leadership."
United, on the other hand, got that one incorrect.
Solskjaer failed to get the best out of his team this season and was fired after a 4-1 loss to Watford in November.
Rangnick has done admirably since then, with United only losing one game in 90 minutes since he took over.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, are aware that they require an improvement, which explains their interest in Ten Hag and Pochettino.

Despite being contracted to Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, they are now the two frontrunners for the position.
United, on the other hand, appears to be averse to multitasking.
Recently, they've been associated with a number of players, including Antonio Rudiger, Manuel Akanji, Declan Rice, Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, and Aurelien Tchouameni.
United, according to Sportskeeda, will decide on their top targets only after appointing a new manager.
And history suggests that they may end up complicating things for themselves.

It was a well-kept secret in 2013 that United intended to appoint David Moyes to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson chose Moyes over Jose Mourinho as his successor because of his success at Everton.
United, on the other hand, dragged their feet in talks with Everton.
And as a result, they wasted time attempting to sign Thiago Alcantara, Gareth Bale, and Cesc Fabregas, all of whom were targets at the time.
Thiago was instead signed by Bayern Munich, much to Moyes' chagrin.

United technically outbid Real Madrid for Bale, but he'd already decided to leave Tottenham for La Liga by the time they got around to it.
And Fabregas would remain at Barcelona before joining Chelsea in the 2014 summer transfer window.
While United is taking precautions by not deciding on targets just yet, it is still a risky move.
Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, their main opponents, are expected to be working on their own plans behind the scenes.
And, with United already at a disadvantage as a fallen giant and a squad in transition, a difficult summer could be in the cards.
