The Carabao Cup celebrations at the weekend demonstrated that there is an electrifying atmosphere full of enthusiasm around the Liverpool squad these days.

Jurgen Klopp and his players have done an excellent job so far this season. Luis Diaz's arrival in January has added to the group's positive energy.

Liverpool certainly feels stronger with an international top winger like Luis: the Colombian has been very humble, available, and close to his new teammates from the start, and he has a lot of respect for the club, Klopp, and the entire squad.

It is impossible to overstate how well he gets along with his teammates.

It is never easy to settle in at a top club like Liverpool, especially in January - without a pre-season and all that entails in terms of team bonding - beyond tactical and fitness work.

Klopp is confident in Diaz's ability to help Liverpool compete on all four fronts this season, including the Premier League and Champions League. In the latter, we can see the distinction between Liverpool and many other major European clubs.

In the second half, Klopp was able to call on the likes of James Milner, Naby Keita, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, and Diaz, and the quintet played a key role in earning a 2-0 win, emphasizing Klopp's capacity to maintain the stability in his dressing room.

Ibrahima Konate is an incredible player, as evidenced by his performance against Inter. The Liverpool board believes they have found a hidden gem in the Frenchman, who was frequently underappreciated in comparison to his Leipzig teammate Dayot Upamecano, who has flattered to deceive at Bayern Munich thus far.

Konate was on Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel's radar a year ago, but Liverpool were quick to reach an agreement on personal terms with Konate and his agents, paying the €35 million release clause.

"If someone wanted to buy Konate today, even double that fee would not be enough," a source close to the Liverpool board says.

The club is now hard at work planning for the future.

While the club's attention is focused on the contract situation, the club is also waiting to see if a deal for Fulham's Fabio Carvalho can be formally agreed upon following productive talks between all parties involved thus far.

While negotiations with Mohamed Salah and his agent are still ongoing with Liverpool, who are becoming increasingly desperate to reach a final agreement, formal negotiations with Sadio Mane have yet to begin.

The forward's current contract expires at the end of the season, and Liverpool will have to carefully evaluate the budget management on the agreements for both him and Salah - not to mention Roberto Firmino.

The club's main focus is to settle Salah's issue as quickly as possible, but Mane and Firmino are also standing in line for Liverpool's final proposals.

There is no need to elaborate, but Jurgen Klopp's stance on Salah is unequivocal: he is a world-class player, a star that Liverpool must do everything possible to keep, even for the sake of the club's future.

Klopp is not involved in contract negotiations or player wages, and he observes situations with the utmost respect, but his opinion is always important, and there is no doubt that Salah remains a decisive player in the German manager's and Liverpool board's strategies.

Finally, the final contract decision for James Milner is expected soon. Klopp also stated unequivocally in public that he intends to keep Milner in the project for the upcoming season. Milner is regarded as a locker room leader and a player capable of deputizing in a variety of positions.
