After the Carabao Cup final, Thomas Tuchel blamed Mason Mount.

Cesc Fabregas, a former Chelsea and Barcelona player, believes Andreas Christensen needs to be more assertive as he approaches a move to the Camp Nou.

The Danish defender's runs out at the end of the season, and he would be free to leave Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are among the clubs said to be interested in Christensen ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, it appears that the latter has gotten ahead of the former, with Sport reporting that a verbal agreement has been reached between the Catalan giants and the Danish defender ahead of a transfer.

"He seems like a great player to me, and his contract is up," the 34-year-old told Spanish outlet Jijantes.

"When I arrived at Chelsea in 2014, he was already training with us on a regular basis." He was the typical young man who went up, and you could see how he read the game, how he anticipated... " I always say that he needs to be a little more scrappy from time to time, right? He's a very good kid, and I see a little bit of myself in him at times Eric Garcia although I don’t know him.
