He accepts that, as far as quality at any rate, he was on par with Messi and Ronaldo.

"I'm not desirous. In any case, I am 100% certain that my quality is similar level as these individuals, yet I… I botched a few opportunities, you know? It occurs," he told the Athletic.

What's more these days, I can't say I'm on par with Ronaldo, in light of the fact that Ronaldo won what number of brilliant balls (Ballons d'Or)? Five? You can't contrast yourself with Messi and Ronaldo, no one can.

"However, in the event that we're discussing just quality, football quality, I don't have anything to be envious of them, truth be told."

Laments over Man City flight

Balotelli delighted in probably the best spell of his profession while at Manchester City in the Premier League.

He is as yet commended by a City fans because of the part he played in the club's very first Premier League triumph, as it was his pass to Sergio Aguero on the last day of the period against Queens Park Rangers which prompted one of the most renowned crossroads in football history.

"Indeed, even in the year when I left, I played very well in Milan for eighteen months, yet from that point forward, I had a few issues. Also now that I'm more established, I realize that I shouldn't have left City around then.

"Such a long time seeing City improving, improving and moving along. I might have been here like Sergio Aguero for quite a while.

"Assuming that I had my mentality now, when I was at City, most likely one brilliant ball (Ballon d'Or) I might have won, I'm certain. Be that as it may, you know, when you grow up, you mature more."
