SHIP CARRYING 4,000 LUXURY CARS SINKS

A cargo ship that was carrying thousands of extravagance cars has sunk off the Portuguese Azores archipelago, about two weeks after it caught fire.

 

 

The transport, named Felicity Expert, was transporting around 4,000 cars such as Porsches and Bentleys.

 

 

The vessel was on its way to Rhode Island within the Joined together States from the German harbour of Emden when the fire broke out.

 

All of its team individuals were cleared when the fire broke out on February 16.

 

Joao Mendes Cabecas, the captain of the closest harbour on the island of Faial, told Reuters that no oil spill had been detailed so distant but said there were fears the fuel tanks might be harmed whereas the vessel lies at the foot of the Atlantic at a profundity of around 3,500 meters (2.17 miles).

Portugal’s naval force said no one was harmed by the fire which the 22 group individuals were taken to a inn after the naval force, four dealer ships cruising within the range and the Portuguese Discuss Drive completed the clearing.

 

Volkswagen said the harm to the vehicles was secured by protections which may taken a toll around $155m (£116m) agreeing to Reuters.

 

 

 

 

Bentley affirmed that 189 of its cars were onboard the dispatch and Porsche said it had approximately 1,100 of its models onboard.

 

One client tweeted to say his Porsche was on board the surrendered transport.
