Everton has declared that their sponsorship relationships with Russian businesses USM, Megafon, and Yota will be suspended immediately.
Following Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, the Blues have been under increasing pressure to respond.
Alisher Usmanov, the owner of USM and its subsidiaries, has ties to Vladimir Putin and has recently been sanctioned by the European Union as a result of those relationships.
Everton has now issued a brief statement indicating that they would completely support Ukraine international Vitalii Mykolenko and that their sponsorship arrangements with USM will be terminated.
The following was part of the statement: "The shocking events in Ukraine continue to shock and sadden everyone at Everton.
