Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has acknowledged that the club is for sale, and that he is willing to pay off the Blues' debts.

Following the UK government's investigation into Abramovich's ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, he has been under increasing pressure to sell Chelsea.

Many buyers have expressed an interest in bidding, the most recent of which being a group formed by Tod Boehly, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"I would want to address the speculation in the media in respect to my ownership of Chelsea FC over the past few days," Abramovich said in a statement. As I've previously mentioned, I've always made judgments in the best interests of the Club. I'm currently in a scenario where I'm not sure what my options are.
