Three of Barcelona's first-team stars are slated to leave this summer, signaling yet another summer of major upheaval.

Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, and Oscar Mingueza might all be sold as the club wants to add new centre-backs. For various reasons, all three players have only played a few minutes this season.

Long injury layoffs have limited Umtiti's playing time, with the Frenchman making just one appearance in all competitions so far.

His fitness has been an issue for him in recent seasons, and despite signing a contract extension in January, he is unlikely to return next year.

Lenglet joined Umtiti as a backup in 2018 and rapidly established himself in the team, but he has fallen out of favor under Xavi.

Since taking over from Ronald Koeman in November, the Spaniard has only faced him six times in La Liga and has no plans to do so in the future.

Finally, Mingueza's stay at the Camp Nou appears to be coming to an end. He rose through the ranks of Barcelona's renowned La Masia academy before making his senior squad debut in 2020 under Koeman.

Until Xavi's arrival, the 22-year-old was a regular starter, with the Spanish international seeing little action after that. He was rumored to be on his way to Valencia in the January transfer window, but the club's head coach, Jose Boraldas, vetoed the move.

That would cover the bare minimum, as the Spaniard believes that having six central defenders in his current Barcelona side is excessive.
