A famous third who is well known for stealing hand help devices and other accessories at Takoradi Technical University (TTU) escapes lynching after he was caught trying to sell a stolen phone a student on campus.
This suspected thief is said to go by the name Emmanuel Gyedu and sources claim he is the son of a famous pastor in tarkwa whose name is hidden due to some reasons.
According to students who have fallen victims to this thief, he starts engaging in chats with the contacts on your phone and sometimes lures them into falling victim also.
One student recounted paying an amount of Ghc500 but his stolen items were not returned. He was caught yesterday after chatting making a meeting agreement for a cash change of one of his victims.
The victim alerted his friends and laid an ambush for him and eventually, he called in the trap. He was to be beaten but then escaped to the lady's washroom and locked himself in.
The students were eager on breaking into the washroom but then a good Samaritan called the police immediately and he was picked up.
He is at the police station helping the police in their investigations.
