Liverpool won a record ninth League Cup on Sunday, but only two of their players were named to the Tournament Team.

Two Liverpool players were named to the Carabao Cup Tournament Team, but only one of them appeared in the final.

The EFL has presented the selections based on data collected by statistics website whoscored.com, with the starting XI comprised of players who have appeared in at least four tournaments this season.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds may have won the competition for the ninth time in a row, but they only had two players named to the Team of the Tournament.

Caoimhin Kelleher, the goalkeeper, makes the squad. The young Irishman only missed one match throughout the competition, keeping three clean sheets out of four.

And, while he couldn't save any of the penalties he faced in the shoot-out, the one he scored before Kepa Arrizabalaga's miss swung the game in Liverpool's favor.

Throughout the matches he played in, the 23-year-old made 15 saves.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is Liverpool's other representative.

The former Arsenal star has struggled to break into Klopp's Premier League starting XI this season, but he made a significant contribution in the Carabao Cup.

The 28-year-old completed more dribbles than any other player in the competition and was named to whoscored.com's midfield alongside Chelsea's Saul Niguez and Brentford's Saman Ghoddos.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored Liverpool's first goal in a 3-3 quarterfinal tie against Leicester City at Anfield, which was decided on penalties.

Despite being named to the Tournament Team, he did not play in the final, instead sitting on the bench.
