La Liga has named seven candidates for the Player of the Month award for February, including Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Signed on deadline day in January, the Gabonese spent his first month in the Spanish league in February.
His nomination comes on the heels of four goals in four appearances. Not to mention, Aubameyang only played 224 minutes in four games, averaging a goal every 56 minutes.
Nabil Fekir of Real Betis is among the other nominees, having been in superb form since the turn of the year. His output in the last month included two goals and an assist, as well as nine chances created.
Villarreal's Pau Torres and Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois are also in the running. Vedat Muriqi of RCB Mallorca has also been nominated, with three direct goal contributions to his name.
Elche's Pere Milla and Athletic Club's Dani Vivian are the final two players nominated. The winner will be announced next week.
