Managing Director of State Transport Company (STC) and former communications director of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akomea has descended heavily on the Akufo-Addo led government for spending state funds in choosing representatives to the United Nations General assembly recently.
Speaking on Metro TV's Good Morning Ghana about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he described the move to send a delegation to the UN to vote on the invasion unnecessary and waste of taxpayers money.
"It is a total waste. If we are to do an audit of official travels in the fourth republic and to see the direct benefit we have as a country, we will all be scandalized".
He believes the vote at the UN not to approve of the invasion of Ukraine by Vladmir Putin was unnecessary because it wasn't going to stop the aggression.
Ghana and it's African country counterparts on the United Nations Security Council voted against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Mr. Akomea states it was unnecessary and needless.
