Dias has missed only two of City's 27 Premier League games during their move to the highest point of the Premier League table.

"Ruben is hugely significant for us however he isn't there," said City supervisor Pep Guardiola on Friday.

Dias is relied upon to miss something like five matches, including three Premier League games beginning with Sunday's Manchester derby against United at Etihad Stadium.

"I don't cherish it, we want him - a ton," added Guardiola.

"I'm not going to cry. We have only two focal safeguards - what will be will be."

City are six focuses clear of closest adversaries Liverpool yet have played one game more.

Liverpool will slice the hole to three focuses before the Manchester derby assuming they beat West Ham at Anfield on Saturday (17:30 GMT).

Dias joined City from Benfica for about £65m in September 2020.

He has assisted City with keeping 26 clean sheets in 57 Premier League coordinates and assisted the club with winning the Premier League and Carabao Cup last season.

City have Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League next Wednesday prior to visiting Crystal Palace in the Premier League on 14 March.

They then, at that point, play at Southampton in the 6th round of the FA Cup on 19 March and, after the global break, are at Burnley in the association on 2 April.

It isn't clear at this stage assuming that Dias will be good for City's home game with Liverpool on 10 April.
