If Liverpool are to recruit West Ham striker Jarrod Bowen, he will reportedly cost at least £75 million.
The 25-year-old has had a fantastic season with the Hammers, scoring 12 goals and assisting 11 times in 37 appearances across all competitions. He has emerged as a vital figure in their bid for a Champions League spot, attracting interest from a number of elite clubs, including Liverpool.
Bowen's worth is reportedly increasing with each passing game, according to a source close to West Ham. For his services, the London firm might now seek at least £75 million. Despite signing Luis Diaz in January, Jurgen Klopp may be on the lookout for a new attacker. Bowen's arrival may boost competition for spots, but he still has a chance because Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane's contracts expire next summer.
The 25-year-old should have no trouble adjusting to life at Anfield, given his age and playing style. Bowen himself is said to be interested in a big-money move in the near future. However, Liverpool's willingness to pay such a large sum for the player has been questioned.
The club isn't known for throwing money around unless it's absolutely necessary. Liverpool spent a similar sum to Southampton for Virgil van Dijk, who cost them £75 million. However, there are less expensive alternatives to Bowen, so the Merseysiders should weigh all of their possibilities before spending that much money again.
Bowen joined West Ham for £18 million from Hull City in January 2020. He didn't get off to a fast start, but he gradually got his bearings. In 90 games for the club, he has scored 21 goals and assisted on the same number of occasions.
