England-born Ghanaian guardian Jarell Quansah captained Liverpool’s U19 boundary to victory over Genk in the disk-shaped 16 of the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.

Quansah, 19, was impressed throughout the game as he marshalled the protective defenses for Reds as he lasted the intact phase of the game for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s side.

Oakley Cannonier opened the scoring for the Reds at the Liverpool private school foundation but Jay Dee Geusens cancelled the improvement for the Belgian periphery 5 minutes into the second half.

None of the two clubs was proficient to grab the victory before the 90 minutes petered out, near enough the game to a penalty discharge which Liverpool won 4-3.
