According to reports, a primary school teacher named Patrick Owusu Ansah, 30, of Kade in the Eastern Region, has allegedly burned down the town's only primary school after protesting and expressing his fury over his delayed salary.

The suspect, whose salary is alleged to have been delayed for about four months, is said to have filed numerous complaints with his school's headmaster, but to no avail. The suspect's coworkers indicated they were aware of his intentions toward the school building prior to the fatal incident.

"We don't know if it was him who set the building on fire, but he had threatened before this happened that if his salary wasn't paid by the 6th of March, he would take serious measures," a teacher at the school told me in a chat.

The suspect is currently being questioned by authorities.

However, in this circumstance, I believe that this is not the greatest course of action. I appreciate his aggravation and rage, but this situation could have spiraled out of control, causing even more injury and destruction.
