After 'issues all across the club' in recent years, Manchester United icon Roy Keane says his former team faces one of the most important decisions in their history when they appoint a new manager this summer.

With Ralf Rangnick likely to stand down as interim manager at the end of the season, the Red Devils appear no closer to selecting a permanent manager.
Mauricio Pochettino of PSG and Erik ten Hag of Ajax are the two most likely options, with Carlo Ancelotti, Brendan Rodgers, and even Wayne Rooney being considered as possibilities.
Keane isn't sure who the correct response is, but he believes United must make the proper decision considering how far they now trail Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, a distance that will require tremendous improvement to close.
'United will have to make a big decision in the coming months,' Keane told Sky Sports. '[The managerial appointment] has to be done correctly.' They need to hire the proper manager to lead the team.

'They've chopped and changed, recruitment obviously hasn't been good enough, there have been difficulties all throughout the club at board level, there have been changes, and there's a new chief executive on the way.'
'However, the next management must get that right.' It's one of the most significant choices in Manchester United's history.
'We know they are so far behind Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea if they don't get it right.' [The management] says they have to get it properly.
'I have no idea who that man is.' However, they must make a huge, huge decision.'
Even the favorites for the position appear to be risky, with Gary Neville, another United star, doubting Pochettino and Ten Hag.
'Do they have the right personality to join Manchester United?' Neville was the one who inquired.
'Are they able to have the personality and character, as well as the strategic planning of how to manage up and down, given the size of the club and the difficulties that present there at this time?
'Impacting up, taking over the planning of the training ground, redeveloping the stadium, all the things you'd expect a great manager to do.'
'I'm not convinced Pochettino and ten Hag have it in them,' says the defender.
