According to latest allegations, one of Manchester United's current players has been referred to as a "teacher's pet" by one of his teammates.

On Sunday afternoon, United were defeated 4-1 by fierce rivals Manchester City, and a number of leaks have emerged.

Morale has been low at the club all season, but it is thought to have reached new lows following the derby day setback.

According to the Manchester Evening News, one United player has been dubbed a "teacher's pet" because of his constant playing time.

Given his lack of attention, a star who is fighting for minutes is said to be envious of the teammate in issue.

For similar reasons, squad players were dissatisfied near the end of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure as manager.

Eric Bailly believes he is frequently overshadowed by club captain Harry Maguire, a complaint that dates back to September.

Bailly signed a new deal last summer, but he has previously expressed his desire to go.

Dean Henderson, the team's second-choice goalkeeper, has made three appearances this season and believes he is deserving of a starting berth over David de Gea.

After a period away from the team, Marcus Rashford is thought to be pondering his options.

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani's absence from the squad due to injuries, Alamy Rashford began on the bench against City.

Anthony Elanga, a teen who has impressed under Ralf Rangnick, is preferred to Marcus Rashford out wide.

Diogo Dalot was a regular at the start of Rangnick's rule, but he hasn't started United's last three games, with Victor Lindelof filling in at right-back in the 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid last month.

Some are still skeptical about Rangnick's nomination on an interim basis and are unimpressed with his previous achievements.

Before joining United, Rangnick worked as a sports director for Lokomotiv Moscow, and his only trophy as a manager in Germany came in 2011, when he won the DFB-Pokal.

As United hunt for a permanent manager, the 63-year-old is anticipated to go into a consultant post at the end of the season.

United play Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon, knowing they'll need a strong finish to the season to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsenal pulled one point clear of Manchester United after a 3-2 victory over Watford, and the Gunners have three games in hand.
