Grammy award-winning Nigerian musician, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, well known as Burna Boy will become the first Nigerian musician in history to perform at Mardison Square Gardens in April.
Burna Boy will be thrilling the people of New York, USA at Mardison Square Gardens with electrifying performances in a show dubbed as “One Night In Space. The “African Giant” as he calls himself is the first Nigerian act to perform at Mardison Square Gardens as an headliner of his show.
The show which has been scheduled for 28th April 2022 happens to be the singer’s first time headlining a show at the center shortly after he was able to pull massive crowd at the O2 Arena in London.
As a reminder, Burna Boy happens to be one of the few Nigerian artistes to break global boundaries as far as his music career is concerned. He is also the first Nigerian artiste to grab a win at the Grammy Awards.
He is loved by many for his genre, AfroFusion which has gradually gained stance in the Nigerian music industry and Africa at large. It is , however, arguable that Burna Boy is the most successful musician in Nigeria since there are other colleagues who might refute this claims.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Inetimi Timaya Odon, only known as Timaya in the entertainment scene has finally broken his silence after he was allegedly arrested for hitting a lady’s car and running off in Lekki.
It would be recalled that news trickled in that the singer has hit the car of a lady in Lekki and instead of resolving the issue amicably, Timaya drove off from the scene without paying for any damages for the harm he has caused.
According to sources, the lady during the confrontation hanged on the singer’s car while he drove off. The lady was said to have sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Timaya was reported to have been arrested after the incident whiles the lady receives treatment at the hospital.
