Cristiano Ronaldo is hopeful that the warm weather in Portugal will help him recover from his hip flexor injury, which forced him to miss the Manchester derby over the weekend.
Manchester United were humiliated by Manchester City on Sunday, and Cristiano Ronaldo was notably absent from the lineup.
Due to a hip flexor injury, the 36-year-old was unable to play, and he was not spotted at the Etihad Stadium.
United players were said to be'surprised' by the transfer, given his aura in the locker room, and they believed his presence would have benefited.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, had flown back to Portugal to recover from his injuries.
Ronaldo had anticipated that the mild weather of Portugal would aid his recovery from his continuing injury problems, according to The Sun.

Ronaldo was a surprising absentee from United's squad over the weekend, and his absence was felt as Pep Guardiola's side thrashed United on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils' equalizer merely prodded the bear, as Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez each scored twice to knock them out of the top four.
"I have to believe my medical department," Ralf Rangnick remarked after the game.
"Our doctor came to visit me before training on Friday morning and said Cristiano couldn't train because of hip flexor issues, and he told the same thing on Saturday."
Manchester United's David de Gea looks despondent as Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne celebrates his second goal during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Manchester United at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England on March 06, 2022.
The Gunners have three games in hand over Rangnick's team, while Tottenham might overtake United if they win their remaining games.
