Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe popularly known in political circles as Abronye DC has revealed that Ex-President John Mahama is preventing President Akufo-Addo from arresting Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah.
Speaking about corruption on Wontumi TV, the loudmouth regional chairman said but for the government's white papper issued after the 2014 World Cup Dzamefe Commission of Enquiry, Former Youth and Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah would have been arrested.
He added that the government's white papper exonerated him of wrong doing even though it was established that an amount of US$15,000 was embezzled from the funds allocated for the tournament in Brazil.
Mr. Abronye again said when the issue of embezzlement of funds became public knowledge, everyone thought the money will be refunded to the state coffers but Mahama told Ghanaians he was innocent with the government's white papper.
