Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf has revealed his three favorites to win the UEFA Champions League this season. Interestingly, Leboeuf believes Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea will not be able to defend the elite European title. Chelsea had defeated fellow Premier League club Manchester City 1-0 to win their last UCL trophy

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are among Frank Leboeuf's preferred contenders for the UEFA Champions League's current season. Manchester City and Liverpool have shown consistency in their Premier League and Champions League campaigns. Bayern Munich, on the other side, maintains their unrivaled Bundesliga dominance.

Manchester City and Liverpool were victorious in the first round of the UCL knockout round, while Bayern Munich drew. The three clubs are anticipated to be unconcerned about moving on to the next round.

When asked who he believes the top contenders for the trophy this season are, Leboeuf responded:

"Liverpool, Manchester City, or Bayern Munich are three of the most popular clubs in the world. Man City is desperate to win the Champions League, and I believe that if you asked every City fan whether they would like to win the league or the UCL, they would all select the latter. "You only have to look at Liverpool's history in the competition to see that they can win the UCL."

Despite winning two titles in the previous decade, Leboeuf chose Liverpool over Chelsea. He continued by saying,

"Chelsea may have a recent history with the UCL, having won twice in the last decade, which is amazing for the club, but Liverpool have a history dating back to when I first started watching football, with players like Keegan, Dalglish, and Fairclough."
