After being sent off against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Inter Milan star Alexis Sanchez has been slammed from all sides.
Lautaro Martinez, a former Arsenal player, was sent for a second yellow card just seconds after putting Inter 1-0 up against Liverpool and halving their aggregate deficit.
Sanchez went for a 50/50 with Fabinho after being booked in the first half and, after reaching the ball first, caught the Brazilian midfielder with his follow-through.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand remarked of Sanchez's dismissal to BT Sport: "He's won the ball, you can't tell me he shouldn't try and get the ball, look how low his leg is." In slow motion, he's bringing his leg away, making it appear worse than it is.
