Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Asanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has indicated interest in purchasing Chelsea Football Club.

His remark follows Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's decision to sell the club following the Russia-Ukraine crisis and its influence on Russian businessmen and their interest across Europe.

Chairman Wontumi stated he would submit his proposal for the club in an interview with his Kumasi-based Wontumi FM.

He also mentioned recruiting Vinicus (a good Brazilian winger) from Real Madrid FC.
