Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mary Remmy Njoku has berated age shammers on social media asking if they would love to die young.
Mary Njoku has blasted social media users who are fond of age-shamming some people online. According to her, aging is inevitable, and advised age-shammers to desist from such behavior if they don’t want an angel of death to grant their wish.
In a post sighted on her page, she stated that if anyone feels getting old is an ugly thing to experience, then they should try considering dying young since they decide to age-shammed people.
She lambasted those who use the phrase “Old woman, and ‘Go and get married” to insult or make people feel bad. According to her, these are stages in a person’s life they have no control over.
“Dear Nigerians, there is nothing like age-shamming. if you feel getting old is an ugly thing, try dying young. Any small thing ‘old woman’, ‘go and get married, your mate dey husband house old cargo, see this mumu, old man. Unfortunately for you, you are speaking to your future self, that’s if you are lucky to live that long.“
