MANCHESTER UNITED has yet to reveal who will be their new permanent manager.
The first signing that Manchester United's new manager must make at Old Trafford has been revealed. When interim manager Ralf Rangnick takes on a consultancy post, United will find a permanent successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer. Former Aston Villa captain Gabriel Agbonlahor has also provided the new manager some advise.
United is currently in fifth place in the Premier League table, fighting for a place in the top four.
They are only one point behind Arsenal in fourth place, but Arsenal has three games in hand.
After a loan move to Sevilla in January, Edinson Cavani is nearly certain to leave at the conclusion of his contract, while Anthony Martial's future is uncertain.
Before making any other signings, Agbonlahor feels United should focus on acquiring a top striker.
He is doubtful, though, who the Red Devils will be able to recruit.
"Manchester United need to go out and find a quality centre-forward going forward, especially next season," he remarked on talkSPORT live. "They need [a striker] if they want to compete for the top four next season, if they want to compete for the Premier League."
When Erling Haaland's release clause becomes active, he is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund.
"I don't know, since Haaland isn't going to Manchester United," Agbonlahor says of the Norwegian's desire to join United. I believe he would pick much better clubs than United."

Harry Kane has been a long-term United target, but Agbonlahor does not believe the England captain will leave Tottenham.
"How's [Kane] going to go?" he added. Last season, he attempted, but Daniel Levy declined.
"I still believe Daniel Levy will not let him go." Spurs have no chance of finishing in the top four without Harry Kane."
When Ronaldo returned to United from Juventus last summer, he agreed to a two-year contract.
However, Agbonlahor believes he will be on his way before the end of the season.
"Ronaldo isn't that player, is he? He's never sat on the bench in his career," he explained. He's not going to accept the fact that he's currently on the bench.
"I believe Ronaldo will go next season because if he isn't starting now and Manchester United sign a striker in the summer, Ronaldo isn't going to accept playing a supporting role, is he?" Being on the sidelines. He's not the same person."
