On Wednesday night's Champions League match between Real Madrid and PSG, the final 29 minutes were completely unreal. We saw Gianluigi Donnarumma hit the self-destruct button to give Real a lifeline, then Karim Benzema equalized after some brilliant Luka Modri play, and then it was Marquinhos' turn to show why he's PSG captain by playing the ball straight to Benzema for the game-winning goal only 11 seconds after play was restarted.

If that wasn't enough, there was a delirious David Alaba lifting a chair in the background during Benzema's victory celebrations. But why did David Alaba use a chair to commemorate his victory?

The significance of Alaba's chair appears to be self-evident. As the 13-time Champions League champion, Real Madrid reigns supreme over Europe. On the throne, they sit.

PSG seemed to crown itself king after defeating Real in the first leg (the club is synonymous with "when trash talk goes wrong" at this point). Despite the fact that it was only the first leg of the last-16, they quickly became the competition's darlings, and Mbappé's early goal appeared to have secured the team's spot in the quarterfinals. In light of PSG's performance in the Champions League, There's no denying it based on PSG's performance in the second half.

Real's incredible comeback, on the other hand, proved how premature PSG's celebrations had been. If you're going after the king, you can't afford to miss. PSG squandered a chance, and Alaba is reminding them who has the right to the throne.
