Former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Engineer Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has disclosed persons behind his suspension from the party months ahead of the crucial 2016 elections.
Speaking on Joy News' PM Express personality profile, Mr. Agyapong indicated that it was unfortunate he was suspended and didn't instigate any confusion at all in the party.

Kwabena Agyapong together with Paul Afoko and Sammy Crabbe, Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively were suspended for working against the then candidate of the party. Petitions from yet to be identified persons were written to the party headquarters and herachy for their removal over anti-party activities.
He revealed his removal from office was engineered by internal saboteurs. "Let's call a spade a spade, my removal from office was orchestrated internally. The people who petitioned for my removal were faceless people, an indication that it was orchestrated by people who felt threatened by my personality.
