According to The Athletic, Mauricio Pochettino's inability to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League as the manager of Paris Saint-Germain will have no bearing on Manchester United's decision to hire him as their next manager in the summer.

Manchester United is looking for a new permanent manager and hopes to have a deal in place by the conclusion of the season.

Pochettino has been a fan favorite at Old Trafford for some years and is considered one of the leading candidates to succeed Jose Mourinho as Manchester United manager.

However, reports say that PSG's loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League may cause Manchester United to reconsider signing the 50-year-old.

However, it has been suggested that a loss in Madrid will have no impact on Manchester United's decision-makers.

Pochettino remains one of the frontrunners for the job at Old Trafford, and Manchester United are well aware of PSG's Champions League failures.

However, no decision has been made, and Manchester United intends to proceed in a logical manner.

They want the Argentine, but they're also interested in Ajax coach Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag, in my opinion, is just as much of a bottler as Pochettino, and the current manager of Paris Saint-Germain isn't the only one who has issues with the team.

However, it was just a day earlier on Wednesday night that they were knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona after winning the first leg 4-0. Pochettino, on the other hand, has Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe at his disposal.

During his time at Chelsea, current manager Thomas Tuchel experienced a similar situation with the French team against Manchester United. United came back from a 1-0 deficit in the opening leg to triumph in Paris.

This should not deter Pochettino from taking over at Manchester United.Ten Hag, in my opinion, is just as much of a bottler as Pochettino, and the current manager of Paris Saint-Germain isn't the only one who has issues with the team.
