Brighton & Hove Albion face an uphill battle to end a four-game Premier League losing streak when they host Liverpool at the Amex Stadium on Saturday lunch hour at 12:30 p.m.
The Seagulls were defeated 2-1 by Newcastle United in their previous match, while Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool secured their place in the Champions League quarter-finals in midweek.
Team Updates
Brighton manager Gary Potter has admitted that Adam Webster will most likely be out until after the international break, as the centre-back is still recovering from a groin injury.
Enock Mwepu and Jeremy Sarmiento are making good progress in their recoveries from thigh injuries and are expected to play this weekend, and Potter reported no new concerns following the Newcastle defeat.
Former Liverpool players Adam Lallana and Yves Bissouma could return to provide a stronger midfield presence against the Reds, with Neal Maupay vying for a starting spot ahead of Danny Welbeck up front.
In terms of Liverpool, despite taking part in full training, Roberto Firmino was not quite ready to return against Inter, but the Brazilian attacker is expected to be back in the squad this weekend.
It remains to be seen whether Ibrahima Konate's knock from earlier in the week will keep him out of this game, but Klopp has no major concerns to deal with at this crucial point in the season.
However, changes are likely ahead of the trip to Arsenal next week, with Jordan Henderson and Luis Diaz is set to return to the starting lineup, while Thiago may be rested after only recently recovering from a hamstring injury.
Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting lineup:
Sanchez; Veltman, Dunk, Duffy; Lamptey, Moder, Bissouma, Gross, Cucurella; Trossard, Maupay
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Mane, Diaz
PREDICTION : Brighton & Hove Albion 0-2 Liverpool
