Ralf Rangnick, the manager of Manchester United, has spoken on the fines imposed on Chelsea.

Other Premier League clubs are partly owned by Russians, according to Rangnick.

Alisher Usmanov, a Russian magnate with Arsenal stakes, was linked with Everton.

Everton stopped Usmanov's involvement when he sold his share in the Gunners.

After Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK Government over links to Russia president Vladimir Putin, Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has cautioned against 'blaming someone' for Chelsea's problems.

Chelsea's future is unknown after Abramovich's punishment, which was published on Thursday, included a number of restrictions, including a ban on registering players and the sale of matchday tickets and memorabilia.

Because of his ties to Putin, who ordered the invasion of Ukraine, the millionaire tycoon was prevented from selling the club.

Chelsea might go bankrupt in weeks after shirt sponsors Three asked to stop their agreement with the club, and there are fears that manufacturers Nike may follow suit, causing the Blues to lose hundreds of millions of pounds.

The Premier League is in negotiations with the government about reviving their sale of the club, with American bank the Raine Group leading the bids to buy the club from Russian owner Roman Abramovich for roughly £2 billion.

As he scrambles to guarantee the club's future after having his assets frozen, Abramovich has come under fire for his ties to Putin, and a large cloud now hangs over his head.

Chelsea is in disarray after Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government on Thursday.

Rangnick, speaking before of Tottenham's Premier League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, said that while everyone condemned the conflict, it was wrong to single out individuals.

'Fingers crossed they can find a peaceful conclusion once more,' he added.

'I don't have enough inside knowledge to comment on what's going on at Chelsea.' It's a human tragedy, and I'm hoping for a peaceful resolution in the coming days and weeks.

'No one could have predicted what happened in the last few weeks, whether in this room or elsewhere.' When it comes to assigning blame, we must use extreme caution.

'The owner is Roman Abramovich, but Arsenal and Everton have also had Russian participation, so they aren't the only ones.

In 2018, Alisher Usmanov (pictured on the right with Russian President Vladimir Putin) sold his Arsenal shares. 'Not only at Chelsea, but also at Arsenal and Everton, there were Russian billionaires with ownership stakes.' This [Chelsea] was not the only team in the league.'

On March 3, a week after the invasion began, Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov, who controlled more than 30% of Arsenal until selling his interest to current owner Stan Kroene in 2018, was sanctioned.

Through his USM company, Usmanov established economic ties with Everton, but these were sever before the billionaire was sanctioned.

Chelsea will be unable to offer new contracts to players and will be required to spend only a small amount on team away trips as part of the sanctions.

On Sunday, the third-placed Blues take on Newcastle in the Premier League.
