AT THE DOOR OF DEATH
I came close to passing away once.
And while I lay at death's door, I realized how little most of the things we love in this world are.

We truly have a jumbled up sense of priorities. We don't see things the way God does.
Faced with mortality, I realized that everything we strive for, everything we get worked up about and sacrifice for, in the end, doesn't matter.
At that particular moment, I realized how fortunate I was. I realized how fortunate I was in this life.
I also learned how simple it was to please God. And I realized that all He wanted from me was for me to be joyful, appreciative, and to assist others in doing the same.
What a fantastic idea!
That's what I discovered on that particular day. The day I was on the verge of passing away.
Thank You, Lord, for making it so simple to please You and for the lovely life You have given me.
