Real Madrid will need to be aggressive purchasers in the upcoming summer transfer market, but they may not have much money left after signing large contracts with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Los Blancos, on the other hand, might use that incoming capital to bankroll signings for the role players they require if they make the appropriate sales.
Swap trades are another option to acquire top players. These are not frequent, but there is a possibility that they will become more popular in football in order to make certain contracts work.
Real Madrid has little use for three players beyond 2022/23, and could try to trade them this summer.
ST Luka Jovic is a Serbian footballer.
We'll start with reserve striker Luka Jovic, who was benched against Real Sociedad in favor of Mariano Diaz. Given that Jovic assisted Real in defeating La Real at the Anoeta earlier this season while Karim Benzema was injured, Carlo Ancelotti's decision not to bring on the Serbian international with the game well-won was a surprise.
But I suppose it only goes to prove how little long-term value Jovic has for Madrid. The team is certainly interested in Erling Haaland, and even if they don't acquire him, it appears that they would prefer a more well-rounded backup striker. Borja Mayoral, who was loaned to Getafe after leaving Roma due to Jose Mourinho's contrasting ideas and Tammy Abraham's outstanding performance, has gained more traction.
Dortmund for Jovic? That's quite unlikely. However, he might be useful to a number of clubs. Some Serie A clubs may be interested, and Atalanta appears to be a fascinating destination. Real Madrid might be able to get him in exchange for a promising midfielder or defender.
