Bulldog, the artist manager, has snarled at Mark Okraku Mantey, the deputy minister for Tourism, Creative Arts, and Culture, labeling him a failure in the ministry.
Prior to his appointment as Minister, Mark Okraku Mantey was anticipated to lead the drive for change in the arts industry.
The hopes and confidence in him were strong, given his years of expertise in the field and his continuous progress in what he does.
However, Bulldog feels Okraku Mantey has been a failure in his present capacity, so this does not appear to be the case.
Bulldog, speaking on Accra FM, claimed that all Okraku Mantey does is call his business colleagues and ask for money so they don't critique his work.
"Since he obtained the job, he hasn't done anything." All I know is that he called his pals and handed them money. I'm not sure what he's done, but all I hear is that he uses the arts to influence people and give them money.
We're all in the arts; I'm neither a doctor nor a banker. Because I have a little brain, I will never be a financial expert because my addition and subtraction skills are poor. I'm familiar with the arts, but I've never been asked to take any money. He knows that if he gives me money, I would spend it and then return to expose him, "he explained.
When questioned why certain employees were given money, Bulldog said he believed it was a bribe to keep them quiet and not complain.
Some of Bulldog's employees got COVID-19 relief funds during the COVID-19 era, but others, like himself, did not.
