Many are wondering if the attack on Ukraine is a sign of the end times. The Bible says that in the end times we will hear of wars and rumors of wars. The same chapter says, "for nation shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famine, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places." Aren't these things done for a while now? Several earthquakes have occurred around the world. Pestilences have been plaguing mankind for a long time, and famine is rampant, particularly in war-torn countries, with Africa being the most hit.
The chapter continues, "and many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. " Matthew 24:11-12.
This is subject to many interpretations, but we are currently experiencing some of these situations in our communities and towns across the world. Many people are now speaking out and questioning the existence of God, while others have confirmed that they have completed churches or mosques: meaning they will no longer go to church or mosque to pray to God or Allah.
And verse 14 of Matthew 24 sums it all up: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come."
The gospel is currently being preached to the world in all mediums, all languages, and everywhere. The more it is preached, the more it is rejected. The excuse of many is that it is very difficult to determine the right ones from the lot who are out to defraud. But we were warned in verse 11 of the chapter that false prophets would arise. I cannot tell exactly if what we are witnessing is the time or if that time is yet to come.
But we must be reminded that at some point in time, the end will come, and are you ready?
Many will argue that they are not Christians and so what has been illustrated above does not apply to them.
Well, the end justifies the means.
