According to Bundesliga analyst Jan Aage Fjortoft, Manchester United must beat Tottenham to finish in the Premier League top four this season and be able to lure players like Robert Lewandowski. United is reportedly keeping an eye on Lewandowski's contract status at Bayern Munich. The present contract of the Poland international ends at the end of next season.

Edinson Cavani is poised to quit Manchester United when his contract expires this summer.

Edinson Cavani is expected to leave United at the end of his contract this summer.

According to rumours, Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford could only be for one season.

The Red Devils are keeping a watch on Lewandowski, according to Sky Germany, amid uncertainty about his future at Bayern Munich.

However, if United do not qualify for the Champions League, Fjortoft believes there is no prospect of enticing the 33-year-old goal machine.

United will face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening with a two-point advantage over their opponents.

Spurs, on the other hand, have two games in hand, while Arsenal, who are now in fourth place, will have four by the end of the season.

"Well, I think with the games in hand, it's better to have points than games in hand," Fjortoft, a former Norway striker, told ESPN FC.

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, has hinted that he may not even buy a new striker this summer [QUOTES].

"However, if you look at the table, Manchester United must win this game." They're on a mission to win their games.

"And now rumors are circulating that they're connected to Robert Lewandowski."

"So here's Robert Lewandowski: 'I'm leaving Bayern Munich, a club that can win the Bundesliga and the Champions League, and I'm going to a club that doesn't qualify for the Champions League.'

"There's a lot on the line here, and Ralf Rangnick has a lot on the line."

United must beat Spurs, according to Fjortoft, or their chances of finishing in the top four are all but gone.

"Ralf Rangnick has already received his fair share of criticism, they call him professor, they say he hasn't coached for more than two seasons in the last ten seasons, and so on and so forth," he said.

I believe it is a must-win game for Manchester United; they must gain five points on Tottenham."

"And then there's Arsenal, who are winning football games with all of their young players, and they have games in hand as well."

"For Manchester United, it's a big, big day."
