Traci Braxton, the sister of Toni and Tamar Braxton, has died, according to PEOPLE. She was 50 years old.
Toni, 54, revealed her sister's death in an Instagram message on Saturday.
"It is with great sadness that we notify you of the death of our sister, Traci," she wrote beneath a black-and-white photo of herself and her siblings.
"Needless to say, she was a shining star, a beautiful daughter, an excellent sister, a kind mother, wife, grandma, and a well-known singer. We shall all miss her terribly "Toni went on.

"Traci died this morning as the snow began to fall; our angel has become a snowflake. We respectfully request that you respect our privacy as we intend to send her home with love, celebrating her life," the "Un-Break My Heart" singer said "said the singer "We will always be family."
Traci's death was also confirmed by the Braxton family in a statement received by PEOPLE. The news was initially reported by TMZ.
Traci's husband, Kevin Surratt, announced her death in a statement received by PEOPLE, stating that she died after a year-long fight with cancer.
"We have arrived at the point where we must notify the public that after a year of discreetly suffering a series of Esophageal cancer treatments, our darling Traci Braxton has gone on to glory," Surratt stated.
Traci "was surrounded by family and friends at the moment of her demise," according to a spokeswoman for Traci.

Traci, 44, was born on April 2, 1971, and grew up with elder brother Michael Jr., older sister Toni, and younger sisters Towanda, Trina, and Tamar.
Traci released her debut solo album, Crash & Burn, in October 2014. The album was published following the success of her hit single "Last Call."
In 2015, she released another song, "Perfect Time," before releasing her second studio album, On Earth, in 2018. That album included the hit "Lifeline," as well as "Broken Things," which featured guest vocals from Toni, Towanda, and Trina, all of whom are sisters.
