PSG welcomes Bordeaux to the Parc des Princes on Sunday, with a tight grip on the Ligue 1 title chase. They are 12 points ahead of Nice in second place and have a game in hand. The Parisians, on the other hand, will be looking to get back on track following two losses in a row in the league and in Europe.

Meanwhile, Darren Bent feels Lionel Messi, the Barcelona forward, does not want to play at the Parc des Princes. Araujo, the sporting director, is expected to leave the Parisians this summer.

On that note, here are the major PSG transfer stories as of March 12th, 2022:Darren Bent claims Lionel Messi does not want to play for PSG.

Lionel Messi, according to former Sunderland striker Darren Bent, does not want to be at PSG. Since joining the Parisians last summer, the Argentine has struggled to make an impression. The 34-year-old was brought in with a high bar set for him.Messi, on the other hand, has fallen short of expectations and is having a disappointing season with the Ligue 1 giants. Last week, the Argentine was a mere spectator as Real Madrid eliminated his team from the UEFA Champions League. Bent believes that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is not at ease in Paris.

Messi may be wishing he was back with Barcelona, according to the Englishman, who spoke to talkSPORT.

"There were a couple of great touches, but I was hoping for a lot more from this" (Messi). What I'll say about Messi is that he reminds me of Manchester United's Marcus Rashford. "Rashford is unhappy at United, while Messi simply appears to be saying, 'I don't want to be here,'" Bent remarked.

He went on to say:"Perhaps the smile on his face would return" (if he returned to Barcelona). I don't believe we'll see the Messi we saw last year, who was head and shoulders above the competition. But he just doesn't seem to belong at PSG. I'm sure he's thinking to himself, 'I wish I was back at Barca.'"

Messi has only scored seven goals in 25 appearances with the Parisians across all competitions. Only two of his goals have come in the Premier League, with the other five coming in the UEFA Champions League. However, in his team's 1-0 home triumph over Madrid in the Round of 16 first leg, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner missed a penalty.Three weeks later, he's largely unnoticed at the Bernabeu. After leading 2-0 on aggregate with 29 minutes to go, PSG surrendered three goals in 17 second-half minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu, bowing out of Europe with a whimper.

This summer, Leonardo da Vinci will depart from Paris.According to AS, PSG sporting director Leonardo is expected to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.

Nasser Al Khelaifi, the club's president, is displeased with the Brazilian and intends to let him go. Al Khelaifi is particularly irritated by the lackluster performance of many of Leonardo's new signings, and believes that a change is the best way ahead.

Fabio Paratici, the director of football of Tottenham Hotspur, has been identified by the Parisians as the best person to energise the club. The Ligue 1 champions are hoping to win their first UEFA Champions League trophy, and they believe the Italian can help them do so. Paratici, on the other hand, only joined Spurs last summer and is currently undergoing a rebuilding process under Antonio Conte. As a result, getting him to go won't be easy.

After Real Madrid's defeat, Nicolas Anelka criticizes Ligue 1 heavyweights.

Nicolas Anelka, a former PSG striker, has slammed the club after their recent loss to Real Madrid. The Ligue 1 giants failed to advance beyond the Round of 16 of the Champions League, therefore ending their chances of winning the prized cup this season. In an interview with Le Parisien, Anelka claimed that his old club lacked the mental toughness to overcome adversity.

"PSG were far ahead in the first leg and for nearly the entire return. With so many chances on the field in Madrid, I thought it was going to be a 3-0 victory for Paris. It was clear that they were qualified. "Then there was an inexplicable 15-minute dip," Anelka explained.

He went on to say:

"The horrors of the past, such as the eliminations in Barcelona or against Manchester United, can only explain this shipwreck." There aren't any other possibilities. When a problem developed, the Parisians were not mentally strong. It's awful, yet their emotional fragility is a part of who they are."

PSG is on the verge of claiming their first Ligue 1 title. This summer, PSG will win their eighth title in ten years.
