West Ham United are poised to make a move for Real Madrid striker Eden Hazard, who is out of favor at the moment.
Following a highly successful stint at Chelsea, the 31-year-old Belgian winger arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 with a reputation as one of the best wingers in the world. Hazard, on the other hand, has had a dreadful time at Los Blancos, suffering through an injury-plagued stretch that coincided with his worst form in his career during his three years there. The attacker is poised to leave Real Madrid this summer after only appearing 22 times for the club this season, scoring one goal and assisting on two occasions.
West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing the experienced winger and have joined a number of top clubs who are also interested in his signature, according to Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle).
Newcastle United, a Premier League opponent of West Ham, and Chelsea, Hazard's former team, are among those clubs. Under David Moyes, West Ham has had a fantastic season. They were competing for UEFA Champions League qualification alongside Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur. They are now in sixth place, three points behind Arsenal in fourth place, having played three more games than the three Gunners. However, injuries have impeded their progress, and the most recent one suffered by English winger Jarrod Bowen has prompted the team to look for striking reinforcements. Ben Brereton Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Youssef En-Neysri are among the wingers who have been associated with the club. The possibility of signing a player who is familiar with the English Premier League could persuade the Hammers to seek a Hazard deal.
