A TOP PLAYER DOES NOT WASTE TIME IN MINOR TOURNAMENTS.' MANCHESTER UNITED'S TRAINER CONFIRMS PAUL POGBA'S DEPARTURE.

The personal trainer of Paul Pogba has stated that the Frenchman will quit Manchester United when his contract ends in the summer.

Pogba was rumored to be weighing his options as he entered the final year of his six-year contract at Old Trafford this season, but it appears that he has opted to leave Manchester United as a free agent for the second time in his career in the summer.

Despite the potential available, his personal trainer, Coach Meddy, informed Italian publication Calcio Mercato that it is because Manchester United is no longer vying for the world's major honors (they had won a League cup and Europa League in Pogba's second spell).

'In terms of Pogba, he will no longer be a Manchester player by the end of June,' he told the Italian outlet. 'I believe it is appropriate for him to go elsewhere; perhaps Manchester, too, wishes to rejuvenate itself, and the best course of action is to separate.'

'Right now, I think he's having fun; they have a terrific team, especially now that Ronaldo has returned.' The issue is that the results aren't forthcoming.'

'A top player isn't interested in competing in minor tournaments; he wants to be driven to compete for prestigious awards.'

Pogba to be the catalyst for a mass exodus?

Pogba is far from the only Manchester United player poised to leave this summer. Jesse Lingard is also out of contract, and Marcus Rashford, Donny Van de Beek, and Anthony Martial's futures are all up in the air (the latter two currently out on loan).

More could follow if Manchester United does not qualify for the Champions League next season, and the club appears to be in desperate need of a clearout from top to bottom.

It's debatable if a new manager can be the spark for such a shift.
