Haaland is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, and the Norwegian has reportedly decided on his next club.
Erling Haaland, a striker for Borussia Dortmund, is said to have decided to join Manchester City this summer, despite strong interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The striking sensation is set to be available for just £63 million this summer, with a slew of Europe's top clubs vying for his services, and City, according to MailOnline, have won the race.
Haaland has scored 23 goals and provided six assists in 20 appearances for Dortmund this season, bringing his total at the club to 80 goals and 21 assists in just 79 games.
Last summer, it was reported that the 21-year-old was keen to join Chelsea, but a deal with Dortmund fell through.
In a 2021 interview with Sporting Bild, Thomas Tuchel stated that he would not mind using Haaland in a front-two with Romelu Lukaku.
"We discussed Haaland a couple of times during the transfer window." "It appeared unrealistic and impossible to accomplish," he said.
"Of course, we talk about him on a regular basis because he is a fantastic player with a high profile at Dortmund." which is a major competitor for us in the Champions League."
Tuchel responded "no problem" when asked if he could play alongside Lukaku, a remark he later clarified was meant as a joke.
Alfe Inge Haaland played for Manchester City from 2000 to 2003, so Haaland appears to be following in his father's footsteps.
According to the report, the final outlay required to secure Haaland will be closer to £100 million, with a signing bonus and fee for agent Mino Railoa pushing the £63 million transfer significantly higher.
This is not expected to be a problem for City, who were willing to pay more than £100 million for Harry Kane last summer.
