The Chelsea football club has endured a dramatic turn of events after losing the EFL Cup to Liverpool. The club is on the verge of losing its owner. The department for Digital, Cultural, Media, and Sport issued a communique on March, 10th 2022, restricting the right of Roman Abramovich from acquiring benefits from the sale of the club. This sanction was made on the basis that there is a breach of international obligation and Roman Abramovich may be on the receiving end of benefit in helping to fund the Kremlin's war machine.
The turn of events has ensured that distinguished people in the world of football have given their opinion toward the sanction being imposed.
Thomas Tuchel gave his opinion at a press conference " We didn't cause the situation, at the moment it seems like business is more or less protected but let's see. It can change tomorrow. It's not a relief for me personally".
Frank Lampard also gave his opinion on the situation via @RichardBuxton_ " I don't know the specifics about it other than what I read. But I managed there for nearly two years and played there for more than 13 years... I care about the fans who were at the beginning, before, and will be after".
Antonio Conte also express his ideas toward the situation on @SkySportNews " I hope the best for this club, I love the team, the club that I worked in the past, every team. I. hope the best for them.
Even a rival coach Pep Guardiola added his voice on the Chelsea situation" For the position of the manager Thomas Tuchel and the players it's uncomfortable and I feel sorry for them."
