Spain will confront Scotland, Ireland and South Africa in Pool B as well as an unsubstantiated Asia-Pacific qualifier.
The side's just other men's Reality Cup appearance came in 1999, when they lost each of the three of their pool games.
"It's been a long excursion and an extremely intense capability process," said Spain lead trainer Santiago Santos.
"We lost our initial three games and from that point onward, we have won six in succession. The exhibition of the group was astonishing and we are extremely eager to be going to the Rugby World Cup."
