Kwaku Annan of Net 2 TV, Kennedy Agyapong's 'disciple,' has released a list of top police officers who double as armed robbers or have contacts with robbers in relation to the country's bullion van robberies.

In a no holds barred broadcast on Net 2, the courageous on-air personality revealed that certain Ghanaian police officers are pals with criminals, making capture impossible.

He went on to say that majority of these officers gather on Saturdays at Kwabenya to show off their unique and expensive automobiles, as well as their weaponry.

Two of the officers implicated in the crimes were shot dead in a previous report about this trending issue.

On Tuesday, they were allegedly shot during a raid in Borteyman, near Ashaiman (March 8, 2022).

Constable Reindolph Gyimah Ansah and No. 53549 Lance Corporal Stephen Kwaku Nyame have been identified as the two suspects.

Despite the fact that they had been detained and were due in court today, March 2022, they were forced to lead a group of other police officers to raid the other suspects' hiding (civilians).

The two criminal police officers were gunned down during a gun war between officers and criminals at the aforementioned location, and were pronounced dead on arrival at the police hospital where they were sent for treatment.

The two suspects were apprehended to help the police to a site at Borteyman near Ashaiman, according to the Director-General of Police Public Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr. Kwesi Ofori.

"And an intelligence-led field operation took off, and in the process, there was a heavy exchange of fire, and the two sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to the police hospital in Accra, but they later passed away," Mr Kwesi Ofori said in a radio interview on Accra's Joy FM on Wednesday morning [March 9, 2022] that was monitored by Graphic Online.

"The cops were shot at, there was an exchange of fire, they were hurt in the process, they were sent to the hospital, and they passed away," he continued.

"So let us realize that police operations are high-risk in nature," Mr Ofori said. "At the time the raid took place, it was a very serious and well-targeted operation, and even as I speak to you, we've arrested four police officers and one civilian, and they will be brought before the court."
