Arsenal has won four games in a row, the most recent of which came against Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City. They currently have the best chance of finishing in the top four this season, and they will compete in the Champions League for the first time since Arsene Wenger's retirement. We analyse and emphasize the reasons why they will be able to finish in the top four this season in this post.
1. They haven't entered any cup competitions.
This is one of their most significant advantages thus far. Arsenal did not qualify for the Europa League last season and hence had to participate in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup, both of which they were knocked out of. Because of the rest their players will receive, they now have a very good chance of finishing in the top four.
They have a lot of depth.
This has been one of their main issues in recent seasons. They never had the depth to progress, but with the influx of quality from their academy and new acquisitions, they now appear to be capable of pushing themselves higher up the ladder.
3. They don't have as many injuries as they used to.
This is relevant to both the first and second points made in this article. They don't have as many injured players now since they have more depth and aren't competing in any European competitions this season. As a result, they will be able to keep their top four challenge for as long as feasible.
4. The academy's freshmen
This will be Arsenal's most important match of the season. Mikel Arteta was able to make full use of the academy in order to improve his team. Emile Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka have emerged as two of Arsenal's most essential players, and they will play a key role in the Gunners' push for the top four this season.
