Powerful Ghanaian defender has rescinded his earlier decision to play for Ghana ahead of the double- header crucial clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Defender Mohammed Salisu has changed his mind after initially accepting to join the Black Stars of Ghana in the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifiers against West African rivals Nigeria.
According to grapevine sources, the young chap has been enraged by the decision of the Ghana Football Association's judicial body to consider a protest by a club contesting the status of the player which once afftected his club career.
Salisu agreed to play for Ghana after series of engagements with officials of the football governing body and Coaches Otto Addo and Chris Houghton.
Ghana will first host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi on the 25th of March and the return leg will be held in the Mooshid Abiola stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.
Officials of the continental governing body for football CAF together with officials of the GFA and Ministry of Sports inspected the pitch for the game.
