Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe popularly called Abronye DC has revealed that he will petition for the arrest of Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare. 

Reacting to the issue of burning equipments at mining sites, he indicated that the Inspector General of Police should be arrested for his silence on how some NDC gurus are in bed with some policemen to set ablaze excavators in the Ashanti Region. 

"Dampare is the overall boss of the Ghana Police Service. As for this one, I have caught him red-handed.  So I must lock him up, he must be arrested because of your men are misbehaving and you choose to be silent, you bear the brunt". 

It would be recalled that person's believed to be from the service set ablaze excavators and a home in one of the mining town in the Ashanti Region. 

Abronye vowed to petition the office of the Vice President who happens to chair the Police council to arrest George Akuffo Dampare.
