Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, according to Francisco Trincao, are extraordinarily hard workers with an unquenchable passion for victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the most decorated players in the world, having earned a combined total of 12 Ballons d'Or since 2008. Although they have not been at their best this season, we have seen a few glimpses of their unmistakable greatness.

The 22-year-old Barcelona loanee is one of the few players to have played alongside both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in his career. The Portuguese no. 7 is, of course, a countryman, and the Argentine spent the 2020-21 season with him at Barcelona. When asked what the two modern-day greats had in common, Trincao immediately mentioned their hard ethic and unquenchable desire to win.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder disclosed the following to Sky Sports:

It takes a lot of time and effort to produce anything of this caliber. It's a lot of fun to watch them play, and I'm trying to soak up as much information as possible. They put in a lot of effort, and most people are unaware of how much effort they put in. It's the most important lesson I've taken away from them. The most important thing they have in common, I believe, is a will to win at all costs." The no. 7 scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, delivering a key Premier League victory for Manchester United. With the treble, he now has 12 league goals for the season, putting him in clear first place in the division for the Red Devils. In contrast, In the French top flight, Lionel Messi has only scored twice for PSG in the Ligue1. His critics have slammed him for his uncharacteristically quiet goal-scoring campaign.

To make matters worse, the Argentine was missing from PSG's last-16 Champions League loss to Real Madrid. He not only missed a penalty in the first leg, but he also failed to motivate his team in the second.

The 34-year-old will need to do something miraculous in the league to keep the naysayers at away now that Paris' Champions League hopes are finished for the season. When PSG takes on Bordeaux on Sunday afternoon, his arch-rivals' match-winning hat-trick should provide him with plenty of motivation.
