The 37-year-old Briton will incorporate 'Larbalestier' as a center name as opposed to adding it to his family name.
"I'm truly pleased with my family's name. My mum's name is Larbalestier and I'm going to place that in my name," said Hamilton.
"I truly need her name to forge ahead with the Hamilton name."
