After a solid start to life at Anfield, Liverpool player Andy Robertson has heaped praise on new Anfield newcomer Luis Diaz. Since joining from Porto in January, the Colombian has made an immediate impact. Diaz, according to Robertson, is a fresh and frightening dilemma for Liverpool's opponents to consider.
After the Reds' 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, the Scottish fullback spoke with BT Sport. "Since coming in, he's been fantastic, he's been special, and he's hit the ground running," he remarked. At times today, he was unplayable. People are afraid of him based on the manner he drives at defences. He also has a finished product. When players arrive during the January window, it sometimes take a while for them to settle in, but that hasn't been the case so far, and hopefully it will continue."
Diaz scored the game's first goal and remained a threat throughout.
Despite only joining Liverpool during the winter transfer window, the Colombian attacker has already scored two goals in five outings. With Diaz's quick start, Jurgen Klopp's recruitment team may have pulled off yet another coup in the transfer market. Klopp's team is now three points behind Manchester City in the Premier League. The Reds will be hoping to keep their winning ways going and complete an unprecedented quadruple before the conclusion of the season.
